Guest post from Team McGladrey member Natalie Gulbis

LPGA Professional and Team McGladrey member Natalie Gulbis will compete this week alongside eleven other of the USA's best women's golfers as they battle the European Team for The Solheim Cup at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, IL. Below Natalie has shared what competing in The Solheim Cup means to her.

My favorite moments as a professional golfer have come during The Solheim
Cup. What makes the week so exciting is that you are not only playing golf
and competing against the best players from Europe, but you are a team.

You are a team that is playing for each other. You are playing for
the captain. You are representing the USA and American women's golf.
From the time you hear the national anthem play and you sing along with your
teammates, to wearing red, white and blue and showcasing the American flag, and
when you have to make a 4 foot putt for your match and to gain a point for the
team you feel the emotions, pride and magnitude of the event.

Golf is an individual game, but this week it's all about the team!

In preparation the team has had several dinners, outings and
practices. Individually I have spent a lot of time on my short game.
The strokes that count! I hope everyone gets a chance to watch later this
week! Go Team USA!
